The All Progressive Congress (APC) Kaduna Central Senatorial District in 2027 general elections, Hon. Shettima Yerima has described the Northwest Stakeholders Summit in Kaduna as timely and a right step at a right time.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with newsmen at the Summit Venue today, Hon. Yerima said, the summit is all encompassing irrespective of party affiliations in order to chart a right course for socioeconomic and political progress of the region.
He said, as participants, they are ready to present and articulate developmental issues that would revive the ailing industries, lessen insecurity of lives and property to the nearest minimum, develop agriculture into a life-long business as well as foster unity and peace among the diverse ethnic and religious groups of the entire North.
He then said, the Northern leaders irrespective of their political difference would take the lead in providing a roadmap for tackling the myriad predicaments that retard the region’s progress in the past and chart a new course that would harness the abundant human and material resources that abound in the entire region.
He then wish all participants from the seven Northwest states happy and fruitful deliberations that would work for the zone and other geopolitical zones of the country.
Hon. Yerima then appeal to the conveners of the summit – Northwest Developments Commission NWDC, Senate Committee on Northwest and seven Northwest states governors to ensure the implementation of the deliberations for the benefits of the zone.
